  ‘Mitsuna’ machiya house: a traditional Japanese holiday home (vacation rental) inspired by the many zushi (narrow alleys) that weave through the historic Miyagawacho and Gion districts of Kyoto. With over 100 years of history, this machiya is within walking distance of Kiyomizu Temple, Kenninji Temple, the Kamogawa River, and more. Slide open the wooden door and you'll discover a surprisingly spacious interior designed to comfortably accommodate up to 9 guests. Relax in the traditional tatami room or on sofa seating while watching TV, refresh with a soak in the hinoki cypress wood bathtub, and unwind in the tatami bedroom while gazing onto the Japanese garden. Gather around the horigotatsu-style dining table with recessed leg space and enjoy meals prepared in the kitchen. High ceilings and a skylight fill the space with natural light throughout the day. 'Mitsuna' offers 3 bedrooms: a Western-style room with a queen-size bed and two Japanese-style rooms with traditional futon bedding. For added convenience, the 2F features an additional shower room, wash basin, and toilet.
