Enjoy a tranquil stay in this captivating machiya house inspired by the vibrant ‘asagi’ turquoise blue, a color once worn by samurai warriors in Kyoto during the Edo period. Enter into the machiya to be greeted with a grand mural, a replica of what can be found at UNESCO world heritage site Nijo Castle. Hidden behind this mural is a fully furnished kitchen, where you can prepare light meals and enjoy them in the Japanese living room. In addition to a beautiful view of the inner garden, the room can be converted into a sleeping area.
