You'll be within walking distance to Nishiki Market (shopping street lined by more than one hundred shops and restaurants), and the historical streets of Gion and its elegant atmosphere. On the first floor, you'll not only find a relaxing sofa but a 'horigotatsu' in the Japanese-style room. A 'horigotatsu' is a traditional Japanese table that's low to the ground and has a sunken floor beneath so that you can comfortably stretch out your legs. Enjoy the view of the Japanese garden as you wind down with a cup of Japanese tea. On the second floor, there is a bright & airy Western-style bedroom with a 'tokonoma' alcove, and a spacious Japanese-style room with high ceilings.
