  ‘Matsunoma’ machiya house: a renovated traditional Japanese holiday house (vacation rental) surrounded by 2 of Kanazawa city’s historical tea districts. A short walk east will lead you to the stone paved streets of the Higashi Chaya Tea District, while across the river to the west is the charming Kazuemachi Tea District. This 82.78 m² (891 ft²) Japanese machiya house is not only more spacious than most suites that you’ll find in a Kanazawa hotel, but you’ll have access to many conveniences guaranteed to make you feel at home. On the 1F is a washing machine with dryer function, and a large kitchen complete with dishware, cookware, microwave, and more. Enjoy a relaxing meal with family & friends at the dining table while looking out onto the ‘karesansui’ zen rock garden or watching a movie on the large projector screen. The bathroom features a luxurious waterfall shower head, bathtub, and a large vanity sink. On the 2F are 2 bedrooms with colorful walls inspired by the ‘kaga gosai’ color palette, which are traditional colors used when dyeing fabric in the kaga yuzen technique. The western-style bedroom features a king-size bed, while the classic tatami room can accommodate up to 3 guests on futon beds. When you are staying with a larger group, the 1F sofa can be converted into a sofa bed.
