This machiya is inspired by the motif of the moon and samurai’s fascination with ‘tsukimi’ (the ancient Japanese custom of moon-viewing). Gather with friends and family in the modern kitchen and dining area to enjoy a meal while admiring the artwork - an interpretation of the moon. Made of red lacquer and gold leaf, admire the crafts that have a long been a tradition to the Kanazawa region. Relax in the tea room-inspired Japanese room (which can be converted into a sleeping area), or have a seat in a chair to take in the view of the serene traditional Japanese garden.
