This machiya features a “daibei-zukuri” outer façade to offer a secluded front courtyard, a feature that was once reserved for wealthy merchants in Kyoto. Floor to ceiling glass windows allow for plenty of natural light to brighten up this spacious machiya house. The 1F showcases a traditional inner garden, which you can admire from the dining area, tatami-lined Japanese room, in addition to the luxurious bath. The Japanese room can be converted into an additional bedroom for larger groups of family and friends.
